The firm opens its working library

The First Counsel has published its working library on this site. It has three parts: a tracker of Pakistani legislation the firm watches, a set of practice guides on doing business and on white-collar exposure in Pakistan, and a glossary of the terms Pakistani lawyers use every day, each explained in one plain sentence.

The library is the reference material the firm keeps for its own use, made public. Every entry carries an as-of date and is reviewed by the firm's lawyers before it appears. Entries are revised as the law changes, and the date on each entry is updated when it is.

The library is general information, not legal advice. Where a question turns on the facts of a particular matter, it says so, and the answer belongs in a conversation rather than on a page.
